With so many improvements to web browsers, organizing bookmarks is still not as easy as organizing application icons on a desktop. If you have a number of websites you visit frequently, you might want to get Firework. It lets you organize your favorite websites more efficiently, on a compact user interface. Whenever you want to go to one of your websites, you can just open up this application and just click on an icon.

The application is absolutely free and you can have it up and running in no time. It works on all modern Windows platforms and it doesn't require any special tools or services. Also, you don't need powerful hardware to run the application.

Firework comes with a compact user interface, which is blank at first. You can populate it with icons immediately, by simply clicking a button and typing in a website's address. The best part is that Firework automatically assigns an icon and a name, based on the specified URL. At this point, you can just click an Add button and your new shortcut will appear on the user interface immediately.

Icons can be swapped between them by clicking and dragging them. Simply clicking an icon will launch its corresponding website, using the application's own browser, on which you can navigate through different pages or even type in a new address to go to another website.

Right clicking an icon on the main interface will reveal a few options, for copying its URL to the clipboard, opening the website in your default browser or requesting an icon improvement. What's more, to make things even easier, the application lets you pin individual icons to the task bar, so you can access your websites with a single click.

Firework gives you the possibility of effortlessly managing your favorite websites, as if they were desktop applications.

Pros

You can create shortcuts to your favorite websites on the fly. The application lets you pin icons to the task bar. Firework is offered free of charge and it works on all popular Windows platforms.

Cons

An option for keeping the main interface open at all times would be a welcomed addition.
